I know its long way from being release yet.. but it was a dead-give-away from the ending of original HL2.. that valve have to create a expansion for this game. Fair to see, i hope to see some of the enemies that they took off from the Half Life 2. Like the blue tentacle beast to that underwater shark-thing. Also more type of enemies instead of those crappy soliders. And finally, make the story a bit more long instead of running from point A into the main city to fight the bad guy. And is it me, or there is no final boss for HL2?

Needless to say, i hope the expansion will improve the original formula that is already set in place by Half Life 2.

BTW.. how many people here might get the expansion when it come out? and seeing how Valve is no longer partner with their distributor who going to release the expansion? or is Valve going to use their download engine.. "Steam" to load the expansion on your computer and you pay for it by credit card?

Halflife 2 was amazing.. I have a crappy ass computer but i played it the way it was supposed to be played on my brothers new puter. Its absolutely amazing. I cant wait for the expansion if there is one

I really want to fight those horrible fish things, they were terrifying in HL1.

I absolutely loved Half-Life 2. What made it even better? Two words: gravity gun. And the ending...damn I wish I had more time to play with that gun! I'm really hoping they have it somewhere in the expansion.

I'll definately buy it, I still play it from time to time (Ravenholm anyone?). They'll prolly use steam, which I totally hate, but whatever. When is that 'mini-expansion' supposed to come out (where they show all the 'amazing super cool' stuff they can do graphics-wise)?

Half-life is whats been setting the benchmark for many games. Its helped push the game market. Thats whats good about HL.

mmmm , i still play HL2 , ... are you guys missing something ? INTERNET !!!!

play online , the game as CTF , DEATHMATCH , and free mods

my personal favorit is HL2DM ... some servers have rpg maps , you gain stats

and have complex missions with lots of steps , of course multiplayer , police vs terrorits in future scenario.

or titanic boat , or what ever you can imagine , i even make my own maps , the game offers aa 3D editor you can doanload , and learn with tuturials for monkeys on the web ,, its great ...

the best phisics game engine on planet so far .

i have a 6600 and my grafics are at midle quality .. so its not old at all ... you will be amazed with the quality.

With a few tweaks to the configuration, you may as well be able to.

I use a cheat and was able to use the anti-gravity ( the one where you can pull people and things) and i modded so that i can even pick up garbage can or a broken cars or trucks!

It was fun, till it crashed my computer

anyway it ate up so much space on my laptop i had to move it onto my desktop. lol. i dont play it as much anymore, but im telling you, this game is teh shit.

PSHHH using the gravity gun from the end of the game... why do you think thats your only weapon later on? that thing is overpowerfull. just be nice about it and use the ammo cheat

Overpowerfull yes.. But pure joy launching people at things and other people.. Yanking those large computers off the wall was a great touch as well. I loved launching people into those beams that dissinagrate people
